Heiligenhafen Baltic Sea resort on the sunny Baltic coast
Spend you holidays in Heiligenhafen at the baltic coast - more than beach and ocean!
Founded around 700 years ago as a seafaring and fishing village, Heiligenhafen developed into an elegant Baltic Sea resort in the 19th century. The picturesque harbour town of 9,000 inhabitants is located in a bay that is separated from the Baltic Sea by a headland. With around 1,800 hours of sunshine a year, the climate in Heiligenhafen is ideal for a relaxing holiday on the Baltic Sea coast.
Nature, beach, ocean, Baltic Sea climate: a holiday paradise for all ages
With its location on the Baltic Sea coast, array of interesting sights and wide range of cultural and family events, Heiligenhafen has lots to offer holidaymakers. As well as appealing to nature enthusiasts, the harbour town with its historic centre and long Baltic Sea beach is also ideal for a cultural mini break or a beach holiday with the whole family. Cycle across the Fehmarn Sound bridge or explore the historic old town with its selection of shops, restaurants and cafés. The market place regularly hosts a range of different events – from jazz festivals, street festivals and wine festivals to the weekly market. If the weather’s less than ideal, you can retreat to the Aktiv-Hus leisure centre and relax in the spa while the little ones explore the Treasure Island indoor play centre. Or why not take a stroll along the new 435-metre-long pier with sun deck, sea lounge and children’s play areas – Heiligenhafen has something for everyone, whatever the weather.
Hotel Stadt Hamburg: a prime location near Heiligenhafen yacht marina
Hotel Stadt Hamburg is located close to Heiligenhafen marina, meaning that guests are just a few steps away from one of the most scenic yacht harbours on the Baltic Sea coast. With mooring space for almost 1,000 cruisers and sailing yachts, the marina is a spectacular sight – not only for boating enthusiasts. The harbour was awarded five stars in 2006. It is situated in a unique location beside Heiligenhafen town centre and offers stunning views across to the nature reserve on the Graswarder peninsula. Holidaymakers have plenty of space to relax and unwind on the long beach.
As you can see, Heiligenhafen has lots to offer and we look forward to your visit!
