The Hotel Stadt Hamburg in Heiligenhafen
The building that houses Hotel Stadt Hamburg hasn’t always been associated with vacations. It was originally built in 1850 as ”Gasthof Schmidt” and served as an official mail coach rest stop for the imperial postal service. Stagecoach drivers and their horses used to stay here for the night. Today, the impressive building with its welcoming façade is under monument protection. It was completely renovated in July 2013 and has been given a fresh, new look while retaining its late neoclassical charm.
The well-being of our guests and the environment with the conscious use of resources (either related to food and beverages or our housekeeping products) is our daily goal to fulfill. Efficient resource and energy management are particularly important to us, therefore we ask our guests who are staying a little longer to support us with our aim to save the environment with individually and of course mindful change of bedlinen and towels. Please do not hesitate to reach out, we are always happy to help.

A popular destination for a day is Fehmarn with it´s spectacular bridge which needs to be crossed, the so called „hanger" as the architecture reminds of a hanger.
