Late Check-in
Our front desk is staffed daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. After 6 p.m., you can check in using our key box (Keysafe)—provided you have made prior arrangements and been given the code.

We have our own bike storage area available for cyclists—it’s secure, covered, and free for all hotel guests. Please let us know in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements for you.

Parking & Electric Vehicle Charging
The hotel’s parking spaces are located diagonally across the street on Hafenstraße—free of charge for all hotel guests. Additional parking spaces are available on Werftstraße. Electric vehicles can be conveniently charged at our hotel’s electric charging station. Please stop by the hotel front desk to check in—we’ll be happy to take care of the rest.

Baltic Sea Card
All guests receive the Ostsee-Card/visitor's tax upon check-in—which provides free access to the beach and the adventure bridge, as well as discounted admission and purchase prices throughout the region.

For cyclists and day-trippers, we can prepare packed lunches to go upon request and for an additional fee. Please let us know the night before.

When will I receive a booking confirmation?
After you book online or by phone, you will immediately receive a confirmation email. If you book directly through our system, you will receive confirmation immediately.
Can I cancel or change my reservation?
Cancellations and changes are permitted in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. Please contact us in a timely manner—we’ll be happy to assist you.
What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept all major forms of payment, including debit cards, credit cards, and cash. Please refer to the booking system for details or contact us directly.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in starts at 2:00 PM; check-out is by 11:00 AM. For late check-ins (after 6:00 PM), please contact us in advance—we will arrange access to the key safe for you.
Is there an elevator?
No, our historic hotel does not have an elevator. Please keep this in mind when selecting a room, or contact us for a recommendation.
Is the hotel pet-friendly?
Out of consideration for all our guests, pets are unfortunately not allowed in our hotel. We appreciate your understanding.
How many rooms does the hotel have?
The Hotel Stadt Hamburg has a total of 15 rooms—9 of which are completely uniquely decorated. No two rooms are alike: each has its own character, its own furnishings, and its own history. Some rooms have a similar basic layout but differ in decor, view, and atmosphere. Please feel free to let us know if you have a preference for a specific room—we’ll be happy to help you choose.
Where can I park my bike?
The hotel has its own bike storage area on the hotel terrace and another bike storage area at Hafenstraße 10-12, right next to the hotel—covered, secure, and free of charge for all hotel guests. Please let us know in advance if you plan to arrive by bike so we can reserve a spot for you.
Is there parking available for my car?
Yes—the hotel has its own parking spaces diagonally across the street at Hafenstraße 10–12, which are available free of charge to all hotel guests. Additional parking spaces are located on Werftstraße, just a short walk away. The hotel also has its own EV charging station for electric vehicles. Please stop by the hotel front desk upon arrival so we can assign you a parking space.
